Darden Capital Management Club

Darden Capital Management (DCM), supported by the Richard A. Mayo Center for Asset Management, serves as the school's investment management club, open for all students to join. The Darden Capital Management Club sponsors presentations from leading professionals in the investment management, research and larger financial communities to enhance Darden students' learning experience in the classroom and as participants in managing the funds. The Club also seeks to assist current Darden students in beginning their careers by maintaining strong contact with the school's alumni currently working in the industry.

DCM is a student-run club focused on promoting the interest and experience of its members in the investment management industry. One of the main responsibilities of the Club is managing the Cavalier, Colonnade, Darden, Jefferson, Rotunda and Monticello Funds. As of December 2024, the six funds have approximately $32 million in assets and are part of the school's endowment, which has been set-aside for Darden students to manage. DCM was ranked #3 in the 2025 Student Managed Investment Fund Rankings by the Center for Investment Management, recognizing the program's excellence in performance, transparency, and educational impact.

DCM members also have the opportunity to attend industry conferences around the country and participate in national stock pitch competitions at other top business schools.

Additionally, DCM functions as a second year elective course that consists of 28 second-year students who apply and are chosen to become fund managers for the six investment portfolios for the Darden School Foundation.
